Hila is a 28-year-old lesbian dancer. When her twin brother Tom unexpectedly dies, she is not afraid to do anything possible to meet him again. While her relationship with her brother’s grieving partner intensifies, Hila faces her demons and her repressed sexual identity.
After losing the custody case, Maya realizes that if she doesn’t do something drastic, her ex-partner will disappear along with their daughter, Shi-Lee. That same day, Maya shows up at Shi-Li’s kindergarten and takes her for a “fun day” with no intention of returning.
The film tells the story of Samira Saraya, an Arab musician and creator, who faces coming out of the closet in Arab society. Samira, a former nurse, who now has a busy stage and screen career, never invited her family to one of her performances. Such an invitation requires a clear coming out of the closet, not only for her, but also for her family, who will have to admit that they have a lesbian family member. The upcoming performance in Haifa, the city of her childhood, with the Israeli hip-hop group “System Ali” with whom she performs, forces her to face her feelings of shame. She plucks up the courage to invite her family for the first time.
