Dir: Matthew Mishory

Straight from the world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival, this extraordinary film is a re-investigation of one of Hollywood’s most famous leading men, James Dean. This extraordinary film is a re-investigation of one of Hollywood’s most famous leading men, James Dean. Mishory’s film is not a regular biography. But rather, an artistic piece, mostly black and white that is a homage to the icon and his time and at the same time a deconstruction of the enigmatic image of Dean and that gently, stylistically (and aesthetically) exposes Dean’s passions, loves and the way he became one of the greatest movie stars of all time. Mishory wisely cast rising star James Preston (“The Gate” and a former model of Abercrombie & Fitch) who fits the role aesthetically and convincingly. An unconventional cinematic journey worth seeing on the big screen.
