The films we selected as winners of the Israeli Short Films Competition both embodied a higher degree of production values and a more complete sense of cinematic professionalism and skill of craft than the other films, but more importantly brought forth a feeling of queer joy and a celebration of LGBT lives.

Both films presented a vision of a modern queer community maturing to a next level beyond simple tolerance and acceptance to an exciting and colorful exploration of discovering who we are and what our place in the world as both individuals and a community can be.
