A delicate and moving family drama about a subject which bothers many of us – LGBT and straight people. Lorenz Meran is a successful writer who lives in Berlin and suffers from a writer’s block. He returns to his home town in East Switzerland to help Rosie, his elderly mother who lives by herself. He realizes that his mother refuses any external professional help or a move to a nursing home, he is stuck in the little country town. The stay in the town causes him to uncover family secrets which Rosie kept from him, and this, also, a chance to fall in love again. “Rosie” is a film which provokes identification, is full of compassion and love for mankind.
