A moving, heartbreaking documentary which won the jury’s prize for best documentary at the Athens international film and video festival, the audience’s choice award at the Slamdance film festival, and the Jury Award for Best Documentary at both the San Francisco and Miami LGBT film festivals. Mark and Alex Farley are identical twins, born in Montana in 1983. It was clear from an early age that these kids are different, feminine and soft in their speech. Mark is an art student in San Francisco while Alex is a transsexual living in New York by the name of Clair. The more we learn to know Mark, Clair and their parents, we are exposed to childhood traumas such as divorce, abuse, sexual harassment, drug addiction and what nearly became a joint suicide. Will the memories affect the lives of the two? Will they be able to fall in love and have a normal, sane life? Will they ever come to terms with themselves and their orientation?
