A new piece from the artist William E. Jones. V.O. is influenced by his work as an archivist at the gay porn industry and his wide cinematic knowledge. While watching hours and hours of classic porn movies he develops an entertaining idea where he decides to take gay porn movies from the 70s and 80s (most of whose actors have meanwhile died of AIDS) and add a soundtrack taken out of classical European films. The idea is to give those scenes a new and ironic meaning. The film has participated in over 40 festivals around the world. Among the films cited or presented you can find La Chienne (1931) by Jean Renoir, Los Olvidados (1950), Susana (1951) by Luis Bunuel, It is Not the Homosexual who is Perverse, but the Situation in Which he Lives (1970) by Rosa von Praunheim, Nights in Black Leather (1973), Dreamer (1974) Getting Down (1975) and many other such gems.
