Manhattan 1998. A half naked man lies on his bed, dialing the phone line, looking for a hook up. When Erik first meets Paul, they share an immediate passion but a future together doesn’t seem likely. No one would have thought that two years later they will live together as a couple. Paul is a closeted lawyer who works a standard 9-5. Eirk is a documentarian, out of the closet, who doesn’t keep a regular working schedule. They try to maintain their fragile relationship but as time goes by Paul’s dependency on drugs worsens. “Keep the Lights On” is an intimate film about the love and obsession between two men who can’t be apart but also can’t live together. Winner of the Teddy award for best feature film at the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival.
