Island

Dir: Ryan Sullivan
A personal documentary so incredible that it is hard to believe it wasn’t written by a maverick screenwriter but rather is a true story. At the age of 16, Ryan loses his elder brother, a brilliant athlete who is kicked out of the house when his parents find out he is gay. Rummaging through his brother’s belongings he finds a VHS tape of a porn film produced by “Treasure Island Media,” one of the most hated porn production companies notoriously known for making barebacking films. At the age of 22, Ryan leaves home and wanders to San Francisco in search of Paul Morris, the head of said production company that made the film that destroyed his family. A breathtaking exposing documentary containing extremely hard to watch pornographic scenes. 18 y.o. and above only. (USA 2010, 68 min; English without subtitles)
